Godzilla & Team

I would like to invite all those who want to make themselves acquainted with the King of the Monsters and accompanying scarecrows. You are going to find here the review of menagerie of monsters which stormed through the cinema screens due to the Japanese house ‘Toho’.

The films which are discussed here were made from 1954 to 1995. They can be divided into two independent series. The first one encompasses the years 1954- 1975. They were followed by a new series after a nine year old pause. All after 84 movies were made as if the previous series had not existed: the whole story was started from the beginning.
I would like to make a reservation here that I have concentrated more on the older films on these pages, maybe for sentimental reasons, maybe because despite their primitive realisation they contained some unique charm.
My pages mention also the films in which Godzilla did not appear but they constitute the impletion of the whole and they recur to one another. The materials originate from my private collection gathered back in the 70ies and from the rich resources of other net fanatics. I am looking forward to hearing your opinions.

Ishiro HONDA is considered to be the godfather of Japanese monsters.
